San Francisco is where I was born, where I came out, and where I’ve come into myself more fully than anywhere else in the world. I live in a nearly 150-year-old Victorian that I fully renovated and painted a moody dark green. While I am no longer running through Golden Gate Park as I train for my first half marathon (I miss those days), I do practice yoga weekly at my best friend’s studio (shoutout to Haum Yoga). My 93-year-old Persian grandmother lives here too—her strength and stories keep me rooted in our chosen metropolis. This city’s art, resilience, creativity, and constant reinvention inspire me daily. It’s messy, magical, and deeply mine.
